Behaviour Changing Therapy

Behavioural changing therapy is a process that identifies why a dog displays problem behaviours and then formulates an individual programme to address these issues.Hank

Obtaining a history and observing the dog is a vital step and generally obtained during a visit to your home. During this visit, steps to change the dog’s behaviour will also be implemented. Expect this visit to take approximately one and a half to two hours.  It should be pointed out that additional visits may be necessary depending on the problem.

As a member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (www.apbc.org.uk) I will see your pet dog on referral from your veterinary surgeon.

Following the visit a behaviour changing programme will be sent to you and a shortened version to your vet.

The behaviour changing programme you will be advised to follow will take time, effort and commitment to produce better behaviour. There are no quick fixes to behavioural problems (contrary to some TV programmes!)

If you think your dog would benefit from behaviour changing therapy please contact me for further information.
